View Full Version : $5 SNG hand question

I don't have the hand history but I remember it well enough to explain it.

Fairly early in a $5 SNG. UTG + 1 makes standard raise, he has about 1900 in chips and seems like a typical tightish type player in these SNG's. UTG +2 is all in with about 900. I don't think he has a premium hand, was a bit loose early. Folds to me in BB and I have AKo. I think I made a poor decision and called here. My reasoning was that there was a reasonable chance that the person behind me would fold and I would be heads up. If he just called, then I could see a flop and get out with about 1000 chips if it wasn't favorable. I had UTG + 1 covered by about 100 chips. Feels like all in or fold.

Flop A Q T rainbow. Pot is about 2000. I have about 1000 in chips and go all in. UTG + 1 calls with AQ and UTG + 2 had A 6.

I go down unimproved

2 questions.

Is preflop all in or fold?

Is the flop check/fold? The only hands I can beat that UTG + 1 would raise in early position are KK's and AJ and tie with another AK.

It just feels like one of those, going down the tubes with AK hands.

Ghost, no need to be a dick. I couldn't care less that I lost. I want to know where my mistakes lie. Grow up.
