lcd monitor as tv?

i didn't want to hijack the lcd tv thread.

i'm thinking of getting a 19" lcd monitor, is there a way to hook it up so it acts like a tv as well? if this is possible through the computer, is it possible to use the computer to record shows?

This is exactly what I have going on with my Media Center PC. There are other software/hardware packages that allow you to do this, also.

Hmm, I have a 19" flat screen.. what are the pros of this? I have a decent sized TV right next to my monitor, is there any point in doing this?
