I wanted to semi-officially announce that I will not be playing in this this week, but next week, I will play, having moved.

a) If I have internet connection next week when the (non heads up) game is scheduled, and do not play, I will give the winner of the tournament $50

b) If I have internet connection next week and do play I will find some kind of bounty to put on my head.

Please remind me ?

I haven't played a hand in about a month. Perhaps this evening's festivities will be a good excuse to play. I will try to make it this time.

Playing poker with people who know how to play?

That's the last thing I need.

j/k: Maybe I'll learn something.

Your post and the Dr have reminded me to clarify,

I will hopefully be playing *next* week, the one that is in September.

My Stars name is citanul.

The goal is to play *one* of the games, I don't know which yet.

If I don't play either, I will split the $50 amongst the winners of the 2 Weds games.

I'll post a $10 last longer with up to the first 5 replies to this thread, for the 8:00 game.

I will also put a $10 bounty on Tax Goddess, if she plays, in the 8:00.

I'll take the LL conditional on my playing - I'm not giving you $10 if I can't make it, obviously.

I will try to attend the atlantic one but I have something I have to do tonight at like 9:30 EST so unfortunately I will probably pass /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I didn't know you were into "scenic" photography with the new camera. New wide angle lens is terrific! Nice avatar.

I'll take 10 of your LL for the Atlantic if you're playing and split my winnings with anybody that puts you first out!

How often are these tourneys? And do you guys mix up the days because I'm usually working Wed./Thurs.

codewarrior
08-31-2005, 03:12 PM
Usually the regular games are on Tuesday. They are Wednesday right now b/c of the ESPN WSOP coverage. The Thursday thing is new.

Save your nickels and dimes. In three months, you'll need a wider angle lens.

See you tonight.

Suggestion:
sign up anyway.
You may recall I wupped you a few weeks back by not even showing up.
And for easy money take the last longer with codewarrior.

DrPhysic

The games have been on Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, and Sun over the past year and a half. Current polls indicate most of the players want to watch WSOP on Tue right now, and WPT on Wed in the spring. (US TV) So you can look for a new poll on the subject about 15 Nov when ESPN finishes the 05WSOP coverage. I would expect it to change back to Tue sometime between then and Mar 1.

The HU game is new and the recent poll indicated thurs is better for most than fri or sun.

Due to work, and a spread of 17 time zones among our players (Canberra, Australia to Tel Aviv, Israel that I know about), there is simply no way that everybody can play at a convenient time/day. We do the best we can. Be sure to vote and bring your friends when the poll comes up again.

I will gladly accept such a challenge as long as Euro's can get at least 20-25 players to roll out - it makes it hard work when u have to shuffle in yer Father/Great Aunt Gemma etc etc to help make the numbers up /images/graemlins/wink.gif

There are a few local tournies I've got myself involved in and the Ulster Cup (part of Irish poker tour) looms on Nov 12/13th but if you can guage interest then yes, time to move to Euro v NA (IV) /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Once more..........
