Any good ideas? I love Bodog, and there's just enough tables to make it worthwhile. Any other sites where there's a bonus worthwhile for SNG playing?

Pokerstars bonuses can be clearing by playing SnG's.

Pokerroom (& skins) bonuses can be cleared with SNG's. The rate isn't as good as Bodog or Pokerstars, but it is about the next best thing. There is enough action here to steadily 4-table up to $30+3 range or so (maybe $50+5 too, I don't have experience that high). You might even be able to play more than 4 tables at once (some games you can, not sure about SNGs, download vs. web version, etc...).

Here is the bonus % breakdown from bonuswhores.com:

Percentage of tournament rake refunded when clearing the bonus:
7x: 71.4% (Pokerroom.com reload and some signup options)
10x: 50% (powerplayer.com 100% to $1000 neteller bonus)
12x: 41.5%
15x: 33.85 (hollywood poker 500% (?) to $1000 bonus, or some such)

Ben, thanks for your response. I don't understand those numbers.

Are you saying, for example, that at powerplayer, that the ratio of pts to bonus is 2:1? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

where are you seeing that bonus for powerplayer? I don't see that on BW.
Also, I don't really understand why the percentages change for the amount of rake hands it takes to clear. You are still getting back the same ratio of pts to entry fee right? Why would the percentage change just because it requires more pts to clear the bonus?

Sorry scuba, those numbers (7x, 10x, etc) are the number of points you need to clear a bonus. For instance, the recent Pokerroom.com reload you need 7x points per dollar to clear, so 1400 points for a $200 bonus. Sometimes you need more points per dollar, which adjusts how much value you get back from the SNG entry fee, since the points will be less.

You get 10 points for a $20+2 SNG no matter what, so if it takes 7 points to clear a dollar, thats worth ~$1.42. If your current bonus requires 10 points per dollar, that same SNG clears $1 worth of bonus.

Ben, then by your numbers, this is like a 71% rakeback agreement? Do they have reload bonus' too then? I don't see anything on having rakeback with them?

pokerroom tourney fees are rebated 71% via bonus. reloads are about every 6-8 weeks. no rakeback (though some PR skins have it).

You can play S&G's to earn bonii at Golden Palace and skins, as well.

Does anyone here actually utilize Bodog's "unlimited" 20% bonus, and if so, do they take any actions against your account?

I ask because unlimited 100% rakeback sounds almost too good to be true. The catch seems to be that I would have to withdraw and reload virtually everyday. For example, if I deposit $1000, I would get a $200 bonus. I would need to pay $200 in tournament fees to clear the bonus. Since I play $50+5 STT's, I would need to play 40 of them. I can easily do this in a day. Whereupon I would need to withdraw and redeposit for another bonus. Even if I deposit $10k, I would need to do this several times a month.

And if I do it that much, wouldn't that cause Bodog to take action against my account? Has anyone encountered difficulty with them? Not only have they lowered the tourney points from 6 pts per $1 fee paid to 3 pts per $1 fee (dropping it from 200% rakeback to 100%), they now state in their bonus section that: "Bonuses are issued for new money only, withdrawing and re-depositing money back into your account will not earn bonuses."

Furthermore: "Bonus programs are intended for recreational bettors only. Professional players or players considered to be abusing the bonus system by any means may have bonuses revoked and be subject to further sanctions, at the discretion of Bodog Sportsbook, Casino and Poker Room management."

Does anyone have experience with any of this?
