automatic mouse movement

Hey guys.

Sometimes when a new dialog box pops up, my mouse moves over one of the options on that dialog box, of its own accord.

I'm running win xp, pretty sure it's pro, sp 1.

Is there any way that I can configure windows to not allow this "auto mouse movement" thing?
