Why did I check? Villian was 19%/3/.8 after 37 hands. I figured he had JJ, and I wanted to see what was up. It gets scary on the turn because it puts 4 to a straight, and he could have TT. I know it can't be QQ because he probably would have re-raised preflop. I'm looking to get some harsh criticism for both my flop and turn play. I was wondering if I should have re-raised for more preflop, and how I could've played the flop and turn better. Also, what would be done on the river had I stayed in?

37 hands is nothing, so those stats mean almost nothing. He could have been dealt 72o the last 20 hands.

So that means you would've called the turn, bet the flop? Something like that?

I'd probably re-raise a little more preflop and undoubtedly bet the flop. His doubling your bet on the turn gives you a tough decision, but many many hands beat you here. The way you played it, I might make the same fold you did, but if you reraised more preflop and bet the flop hard you may have not faced this decision. Plus, its no fun laying down an overpair.

Your knowledge base on villain is way too limited to put him on such a specific holding and as such I can only dismiss your handling of the second best starting hand in poker as so weak tight it makes the enamel on my teeth ache.

make it atleast 2.1 preflop, lead for 2/3-full pot on the flop, lead turn and then u can think about finding a fold.

this is a super draw heavy board, if u check the flop u have basically given up and i dont like giving up that easy.

Paraphrase from the theory of poker: "the most important thing to do when the pot gets big is to try to win it immediately"

The pot is around 40BBs (decent size if you ask me!), and if you don't raise here you've got a protected pot the whole way through, which is not a good spot to be in if you get raised.

The moral: reraise preflop.

Don't minraise preflop. Make it like $2.50. I'd generally push after MP2 3 bets preflop. Remember that your #1 goal with high pairs is to get them all in before the flop.

Pot the flop. As played, I don't mind you folding to the turn minraise.

Interesting that you folded on the turn and still get to see a river card. Is this part of the new rabbit cam on Pokerstars?

I would go all-in pre-flop after the raise-reraise-re-reraise.

There was another guy all-in, so it was going to showdown either way.

I agree with Malachii on all streets, play KK much more aggressively.
