I'm leaning towards taking Washington at home against Chicago and the always great to bet against Chad Hutchingson.
Thoughts?

Chicago's defense is good, and Washington's offense is very bad. The game may very well come down to field position and turnovers, making it a bad survivor risk.
On the other hand, you're not going to get better matchups for WAS.

Yeah, I don't think there are many safer than that.

I got the impression that Orton may win the starting job yet. But it looks like a safe pick.

If Chad Hutchinson starts week 1, Lovie Smith & Ron Turner should lose their jobs. Last night after Hutchinson had an entire ha1f of awful throws & 3 & outs. Kyle Orton came in the 3rd quarter & marched down the field for a TD with many defensive & offensive starters still on the field. Orton also had a great 4th quarter vs. Miami, played well vs. St. Louis & OK vs. Indy. Hutchinson has yet to throw a good pass in 3 pre-season games.
Also, the Bear defense is looking very good stopping the run & putting lots of pressure on the QB. They can be beaten in the secondary, but a one dimensional offenses like Washington are probably in trouble.
I would think Pittsburgh is a better pick week 1.

St Louis over SF is the safest bet.

What about NO at Carolina?
Carolina is a pretty good team, home field edge... I think this would be a good idea.
