Do you semi-bluff this flop or not?

Villan here is a typical 40/20. (BTW, why are there so many players with 40/20? stats)

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

He's never folding a better hand than yours as long as your hand is UI. I would tend to just check/call this flop in order to checkraise the turn if I improve.

I would raise, looking to get a free card on the turn if I don't improve. If I'm 3-bet, I can fold the turn UI.

I like the raise on the flop is what I was saying. Gives you more options and lets you know where you are at...

Against this guy, a three-bet doesn't really let you know that you're behind and you also have too many outs and there is too much in the pot to fold the turn UI. And OOP getting a free card is kind of hard.

That's what I get for skimming through this and not re-reading. You are correct all around. My bad.

Maybe if you have position. Not here.

OK. Very good input guys. Like einbert said the semi-bluff has no value since I'm not going to fold a better hand. That's really all there is to it, right? (This is not a rhetorical question)

OK. The turn card was
A /images/graemlins/club.gif

What is Hero's move?

Well I don't really see any other reason to semibluff, since you're out of position here. Just overall the circumstances seemed poor for it.

The turn is much more interesting. I've got to think about this decision.

Just wait until the river then /images/graemlins/wink.gif This hand just escalates!

I'd bet out on the turn.

given the action thus far, I would bet out on the turn and call down if raised

Originally I would check call flop
and when the A falls on turn I would bet out rather than go for the check raise (primarily because I could stand the raise but would hate a 3 bet on the turn)
