Well as some of you know I work at a bank and people (idiots) are constantly coming in or calling wanting to know what happened to thier account because its over drawn. So of course I go and look up the account and see what happened and the things people spend the money on to get over drawn are the best. Normally its a trip to the liqour store or a smoke depo or something like that but then there are ones where they bought GGW or got money from the ATM at a titty bar or even a porno store. So I will then ask them what is this charge to _________. Like I dont know what it is and the reaction you get is great. Normally something like oh man that was a rough night or ohhhhh I forgot about that one. So then I ask do you have a check register? The reply is always no so I offer them one in hopes they can keep up with the account better. Then they ask if I will refund fees for them and I generally will if its an honest mistake but then I look at the history on the account and for the past year the account has been neg. for over 200+ days in the last year. So I then point that out and tell them no. Then when they leave I just laugh. Its great.

EDIT: Also, sometimes after I tell them no about the refund they will ask for a loan? LOL

I'm glad that you are able to look at the bright side of a shitty job (being a teller in a bank). Stupid, white trash type people are definitely good for a laugh or two.

The best was the lady who came in several hundred dollars overdrawn. After about a minute of looking at her meticulous register (seriously), it was readily apparent that she had failed to record a single ATM withdrawal. When I pointed this out to her, she was amazed - "I didn't know I had to record these! You mean the money comes right out of my account?". I informed her that yes, it does come out of her account, and did she think we would just give money away? Her response:

"Well, I only took it when I really needed it, and only took a little each time".

Oh, I guess that's ok then. /images/graemlins/confused.gif /images/graemlins/confused.gif /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I was a teller for a while in college, and my favorite would be when a woman would come in and demand to know where these strange 19.99 charges were coming from.

Usually they were for an internet porn site, and the woman would get super pissed.

The best (or worst I guess) was when a couple came in to get their last several months of statements for their mortgage loan application. The woman happened to glance at them and saw 7 different charges like this and hit the roof. I guess the guy was in charge of all finances and she had never once seen a statement.

A 30 minute fight followed, with the woman leaving her husband at the bank (he had to call a taxi) and eventually leaving him altogether.

I guess if the guy was stupid enough to pay for porn online he deserved it.

I forgot sarcasm is not allowed here.

But honestly, I looked at his bank records, and he obviously was doing a bunch of shady stuff that he didn't want the fiance to find out that I didn't feel sorry for him at all.
