Looking back on this hand it seems as though I could have saved some bets but I'm not sure if it's just results based thinking.

I really do not like your 3-bet on the river, he c/r you twice and you are giving him more action? I think I check this through on the river, against the right opponent maybe I find a bet.

I don't think this depends on the read.
Getting check-raised almost ALWAYS means bad news. If you decide calling down that's ok. And betting the river after your stupid opponent checked is propably ok as well. But 3-betting sucks here. I would just check behind him on the river.

I agree that the 3 bet on the river might be bad but I think checking through is incredibly weak as I now have pocket 7's and 6's beat and in my mind there's only one card in the deck that beats me (I feel I can rule out kings and aces).

Depends on your read of the SB.

Unless I was really effing sure the SB didn't have the case queen, I check the river. You'd get called by a 6 or 7, but the betting doesn't seem to support that holding.

That said, if you do bet and get raised on the river ... call and see the freaking queen.

" after your stupid opponent ..."
exactly, Is he going to be playing A6 from the SB or any other garbage, if so I am not folding to the c/r on the turn. But I still don't think that warrants a bet on the river unless you know him to bluff in these situations (the turn).

When you just call his check-raise on the turn you state that YOU don't have the Queen. So on the river play, if he checks to you, you can check behind or value bet. If he raises you I think you can only call and not 3-bet.

I think villian had pocket 7s, but i wouldn't go so out of line to 3 bet the river.
