View Full Version : So this is why you play 6max... (LC)

By standard I play full games, but I want to get my feet a bit wet on 6max so I went to party $1/2 to stumble around...

I post hands here with results... since this is more of an /images/graemlins/grin.gif post than /images/graemlins/confused.gif post - still, feel free to kick me in the head if you see awful mistakes in the hands posted.

Villain is our standard 85/33/1.5 variety... and I shall name him/her LAGGY in hand histories. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

on hand 1 go ahead and bet flop and then cap the [censored] out of every street with no regards to innocent bystanders. you will lose money slowplaying in shorthanded games.

otherwise, good stuff. hand 4 is especially nice.

i like the way you played hand 1, you kept the button in it by not taking the lead by capping the flop

in this hand in this game, the button is going nowhere. this is a must cap for hero. notice the button putting in 4 bets on the turn as well?

that would be totally dependent on who the button was.

so you think if it goes bet and raise infront of the average 1/2 button to open the turn he will still call here with a J?

Ooops... I didn't name LAG Laggy. Sorry. Well... he should be easy to notice anyway.

Hand 1 I just came to table, 2nd hand in fact...

Half of 2+2 would save a bet on the river in Hand 2.

Against a total LAG in a pot of this size... you must be joking /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yeah I was being sarcastic, but look how many times someone posts a hand where they have a set on a board where the river puts four to a flush and/or four to a straight on board, and the title of the post is "When do I lay this down?" And often no read is provided.

As you suggest, folding would be horrible here, but somebody would have advocated it if you hadn't posted the results.

I don't care about the turn. Hero didn't cap the flop and it cost him 1 BB in this hand, end of story.

button cold-called two bets on turn anyway after he had put one in, he wasn't going anywhere.

Hand 1: raise PF. I see so much garbage being limped by the button vs. the blinds.

BreakEvenPlayer

wackjob Q9s is a BAD raise against a button limp. you have terrible position with a weak hand, just limp and see flop.

I disagree.
