I'm about 8.5k through .5/$1, and quite frankly disapointed with my play so far. I notice a lot of mirco limit posters moving up after 10k, with winrates on avg between 2.8/100 and higher. I'm currently on a 72bb downswing, I know it's not all varience and I also know 72bb isn't the end of the world. But I really want to turn my play around...only thing I notice is that my blind steals need to go up, as well as my vpip, but I've also seen a lot of really great players have vpips as low and doing much better.

Just have a look, see what you can tell me...

How do these stats compare to your previous stats @ .25/5?

Blindsteals aren't so important at .5/1. You need some tight blinds and even then, not so much. Even at 1/2 I notice I can do an isolation raise and end up with the last 3 people cold-calling my raise. Plus blindsteals may have the opposite effect you're looking for... lowering your BB/100 because when they fail you've lost 100 or more hands worth of BB.

You're awfully tight, and your WTSD% is low, so you might be folding winners. Loosen up in later positions.

very similiar, except my bb/100 was over 4/100, however I have actually loosened up since then...still tight, but PT has me as a Tight Argessive. Don't know if that means anything

I think you need to play more hands. BUT, only if you are comfortable playing them. Try loosening up from the CO and button first, then work your way around the table as you feel more comfort. It seems if you are going to play that few of hands, you will have to play them at near expert level to win a lot with them. I'm sure my playing style and your playing style are totally different, so it's hard for me to comment on your stats. I've tried to get below 19vpip and just can't do it. 13??? Not for me I guess.

you are too tight.
a lot of profit at these levels comes from being able to limp in with hands that play very well in large multiway pots. they won't win often, but when they win they will win big. that is likely your biggest leak. not really a leak per se, but a reason you are not attaining a higher winrate.

don't worry about stealing at .5/1 unless you are playing somewhere where stealing actually works.

also. don't worry about other people and their winrates. worry about yourself.

Ok, I know that in this thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3217493&page=2&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1) I advocate declining the kool-aid and deciding for yourself what your VPIP should be.

But even given that I said that, dude, you are far too tight.

Loosen up some. You may fold too much post-flop as well. You're borderline rockish.
