Villain is 15.9/8.9/2.25 over 1200 hands.
I thought he might be testing me for an ace on the turn and therefore waited until the river. Good idea or fps?

Well it's either raise the turn (and risk him folding) or take the line you did.

It looks as if you guaranteed a little more money out of the situation, since good players can easily fold to a turn raise when they know they're beat. Folding for one on the river is pretty hard in this spot for him.

I just hope he didn't turn a set or some crappy 2 pair ...

I like it. I don't think I do this enough.

I like it. The only hands you're gonna knock out on the turn are ones that have few outs against you. You might induce those hands to call a river bet.

Thought I'd post the results. He had a raggy ace and probably would have folded to a turn raise since he seems to be solid.
I think this line may even make him just call a two pair on the river fearing i slowplayed AK.

Put him on your 5/10 buddy list. He's going to make you some money with his horrible post flop play.

I think villain should have folded to the river raise but do you really think his play was terrible before that?
Had i raised on the turn he would most likely have released.

If i was in his spot i probably would have thought it as a WA/WB situation and gone c/c c/c bet/f.
The results would still have been the same but how do you think villain should play his hand here?

His line cost him a lot when he's not best and win's him the little when he is. Betting into you on the turn gives you the chance to fold a worse hand.

I would have gone with the classic, C-C, C-C, B-F line. The flush draw on the board shouldn't bother him since we're heads-up.

And the call of your raise on the river is horrible unless he thinks you have boderline maniacal tendencies.

I play mostly 2/4, but I think the donk bet from the blinds from reasonable player there usually does mean an ace. I'm usually too big of a pussy to raise the river, and I just let them bet my hand for me, and will only raise if I hit two pair. But they basically never fold on the river, I'm just not comfortable folding to a 3 bet.

Good reply bigendian, overlooked the fact that he gives me a chance to fold a worse hand on the turn there.

Folding to a 3-bet on the river is very straight-forward.
