This is one of those threads that's going to blow up for no apparent reason, isn't it.

i don't know, i am hoping it is from laying my head on my arm while i sleep, so it's a possibility. i woke up last night in that position. but for it to still feel weird all day long (or all day long for 3 days) makes me a little nervous.

it's not really pins & needles feeling, but i'd still compare it to it being alseep.

or maybe i have a tumor and my brain is getting ready to explode from the pressure.

gorie I'm pretty sure I know the feeling you're talking about, I've always been quite unnerved when it's happened to me but nothing has come of it. But I've never had it repeatedly in such a short amount of time or for so long continuously, maybe you should have it checked out.

A friend of mine woke up one morning and her whole left side was numb. She'd had a stroke while she was sleeping. She was only 28 when it happened. Luckily she recovered about 80% of the feeling in that side, but she still can't tell the difference between hot and cold when she touches things with that side.

Go to the doctor, Gorie.

hmm well i don't think it is that.. though now you scare me more. i mean it's just a section of my head, it's not dead-numb, i can still feel it, it just feels funny.
but going to the doctor is probably not a bad idea. hopefull it'll be better tomorrow and i won't have to worry about it though.

ok so i went to the doctor... (i'm sure you all care, thx!)

basically i'm dying.

pretty sure the weird feeling in my head is related to my ear problems (i made an appointment at an ear specialist a couple weeks ago about the humming, but that isn't for awhile yet).

unfortunately after seeing the doctor today, it doesn't sound like the ringing in my ears is going to go away. he cleaned out some wax from my right ear,i still hear the hum. the left ear he said there is no wax, but it is red and near the stage of an infection but not infected yet. something about my ear drum being retracted and some fluids being in there.

both ear drums are scarred. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

the feeling i get on the left side of my head could be from several things along with the ear. he was pushing on a part of my neck and asking if that hurt and if i felt the tingle on that area of my head that's bothering me, and i did. he said sometimes cracking your neck will help and asked if i wanted him to crack my neck but i said no because i was scared he'd snap it off. allergies is also something that can make the pressure worse. and could also be partly because of my braces affecting the muscle around there. hmm what else. i don't know, basically it sounds like i'm dying and going deaf.

he gave me amoxicillain and nasal spray to see if that will help my left ear and my weird head problem. i'll be seeing the ear specialist next week after the treatment for that stuff , so we'll see how it goes and probably learn more bad things about my ears.

it sucks about my ear drums though and that i'll likely always hear buzzing sounds the rest of my life. i guess that's kind of common though. i just don't want it to get worse.

hold me.

Are you alergic to Penicillin? (sp?) Amoxicillin is fairly weak (that is what they give young children).

Hope you get better.

no, not that i'm aware of. i don't actually have an infection yet so that might have something to do with it too.

That's must be why (no infection). I'm no doctor, but I do have 3 kids and they all received amoxicillin for infections when young, so it can't be real strong.

Don't get discouraged if this doesn't work, it sounds like they are just starting slow. It's never good to take too many antibiotics.
