I'm a very inexperienced MTT player but I came up through my bodog points and then won another sattellite which gave me 270 tourn credits, which is supposed ot be used for either the Borgata Open Semi-Final or the WSOP Circuit in Biloxi Semifinal. Looking around I found that I could also play the 100k gtd tournament twice with the same tourn credits and still have a little left over. For the WPT event its a 12k package for every 1/48, for the 100k GTD the payouts arent listed until after everyone registers, but for the last one there was a 27k overlay. Will the players be better in the 100K or will it be more likely that a bunch of fish will try for the WPT seat? which option would be better for an inexperienced tournament player? any help would be appreciated, thanks

This really depends on how well you can play and which prize is more important. Money to build bankroll or the chance to play in a WPT tournament.

Playing the $100K Gty will put you up against a field of 700+ players. Any substatial money will be at the final table with top 3 seeing the real cash.

Last week's payouts:
1st - $25,000
2nd - $14,300
3rd - $9,200
4th - $6,900
5th - $5,500
6th - $4,500
7th - $3,500
8th - $2,500
9th - $1,600
(763 entries with 63 paid positions)

The Borgata semi-final is basically a winner take all tournment. You'll be competing against a much smaller field but you will have to know how to play satellite, short tabled, and heads up. If there is only one seat and no money in the prize pool, second pays zero.

If I were you, I'd use tc27 in tourney credits and play a $25+2 quarter final. This will be a good test to see how your play is and you might win your seat.

If not, you still have tc243, enough to play two $109 100k's.

2 x $109 = 218 T$

270 T$ - 218 T$ = 52 T$

Now play in 2 $22+$2 5-man single table sats for 110 T$ 1st prize.
