I just made myself a tuna sandwich and, if I might be so bold, it was the best tuna sandwich ever made in this universe.

tuna in water (not oil)
mixed it with a little mayo, a little Grey Poupon
chopped up some little bitty pieces of celery and onion
toasted Rye
with a sour dill from Bubbies
a side of those chili limon Fritos
and topped off with a Dr. Pepper

I am now completely sated.

Why do old people always eat the grossest stuff?

Can there really ever be a "best" tuna sanwhich, or would it be better to lable it as the "least worst" tuna sandwhich.

Try mixing pickle juice and mayo with the tuna when you make it. You will stand corrected.

Is a tuna fish sandwich really that rare of a culinary experience for you, Scooter? I mean, it's not like I just went on about monkey brains or cavier, you know?

Have you tried the flavored tunas in the sealed pouches? They freakin' RULE.

enough tuna in water or oil crap. A fresh tuna fillet lightly seared on both sides, but still pink in the center is clearly the best tuna fish sandwich on earth. For those in NYC, an inexpensive rendition of this sandwich can be found at Virage, in the east village.

grilled tuna is a lot different than a tuna fish sandwich - we're talking processed fish here, not fresh, okay?

Panera Bread makes the best tuna salad I have ever tasted. Also, if I'm making it myself, I like a some sweet pickle relish in there and sometimes bread crumbs, in addition to everything you've mentioned.

The lack of pepperoncini in this sandwich precludes the "Best" moniker.

Have you ever put Ruffles on your tuna sandwich? I seriously can't eat tuna without some chips on it. It's soooo gooood!

That sounds good, but I think you can do better. I also like to add a little garlic powder and worcestershire sauce to mine (not sure if that will mix with your mustard, as I've never used that). Next time make me one too.
