View Full Version : How should I play this hand differently?

Villain is starting to play LAGgy, but I'm still not entirely sure that it's not just variance.

Button 120k
Villain SB 104k
Hero BB 130k
blinds 4k/8k

Button folds
Villain minraises
Hero calls with 8d/9s
Flop: Td 5d 7d
Villain pushes
Hero folds

Which of these two bets do you call and why? I'm assuming raising preflop is out of the question.

Yeah, good fold. He probably has a higher diamond, with a possible pair on the flop - your outs ain't good often enough here. I like the play, seems standard.

However his push is stupid. I don't see the point in it at all.
