I have a REALLY hard time finding a fold at 10/20 when I'm check raised and have middle pair + top kicker when the top pair is paired... Is this a leak in my play ? Vilain is 48/1.9 over 2500 hands...

I don't think you should ever fold this heads up unless you have seen enough of your opponent to KNOW he would only do this with a Q.

It wouldn't change my answer by the way, but the way the post reads this is not a checkraise. I think where you can probably fold in this situation against some opponents is when they check call the flop and checkraise the turn.

I would probably checkraise the river.

chip spewing. He either has a Q, a slowplayed AA/KK a in rare case a weak J ...

My standard line is to play as you did.

even the most loose players don't raise the flop w/o something vs a Tag...

I would just threebet the flop here. No one fastplays trips in this game.

Do you fold to a cap or to a turn reraise ?

Flush draw, OESD, gutshot, air, all are pretty likely. I think at least one more bet needs to go in somewhere or you will really get run over.

Edit: 48/1.9 is lag city. You need to go to showdown as well.

I would 3bet the flop and lead the turn. If he continues to show aggression, then definately slow down, but I wouldn't fold.

Too much? Just Right?

If he actually has the Q, a serious note should be written around how he plays big hands.

This is a pretty awful board to slowplay trips. With BB out of the hand I'm content to call this down.

Mig, not showing this hand down is insane.

That's exactly what I thought.. I just wanted to make sure it was standard call down.

I am not arguing that it would be horrible to slowplay trips here, but in over 150k hands in this game I can honestly only remeber a few occations where the non pf agressor fastplayed trips on the flop. It alomost never happens especially from non tag. They do love to fast play draws hence my advice to threebet.

I probably raise the river because I think it is enough more probable that he has Jx than Qx. There are the same number of combinatione, but Jx he would always play that way, while Qx he would often (I guess more than 50%) slowplay until the turn.

EDIT: I think I take that back. I raise the turn for to get paid off when he has a flush draw or a lower PP.
