I'm going to have to say that this is positively correct. Every person who has heard it likes it, from a kid who only listens to rap to a kid who only listened to Counting Crows and Maroon 5. It's amazing. link to his website (http://www.hasidicreggae.com/)

Heard this guy at a Party last weekend, had no idea what I was listening to until like half way through the cd. Thought it was great. I will reserve judgment on the Bob Marley comment as I haven't heard it enough (I am leaning towards good but no [censored]' way).

live at stubb's is easily the best (jewish) reggae album i've ever heard. This matisyahu character is amazing, i've been listening to him non-stop for the past week. If you haven't heard him, do yourself a favor and listen "king without a crown" and you will be hooked

I have to bump this because it's so good. I insist that everyone listens to it. If you are looking to dl the best song is "King without a crown" because that is in my top 5 of songs all time now.

He played a show at ohio state for $5 last year. I thought it was a joke when i got an email from the chabad house on campus, like someone had cracked their email or something. i read it, hit the link, and then went to the show. he is so good. his crowd was grouped into three general areas: the rasta reggae guys who smelled like pot, the akward college guys who had little idea what to do (me included), and then hasidic jews. it was a potporri if i ever saw it.
