this is a unique opportunity. The inital raiser is pot committed, and has enough left to make a legal raise if I mini-raise. The ability for the shortstack to make a legal raise is the key element because it allows me to reraise the SB if he calls the all in from the shorty. It may seem obvious, but how much action can I expect from the SB if I make my standard raise anyway?

is 15 chips over your raise a legal raise? I dont think you will be allowed to go overthe top, no? or am I misunderstanding the situation?

the HH shows the amount of chips just put in, not the total, so the short stack actaully mad more than just a mini raise, Life was so much simpler when the converter was wasy to use /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Great play. I always think of this after the fact, or pussy out in live games because I'd have to as kthe short stack for his stack and bet half of it. Maybe this post'll get me to start doing it myself.

anyone else have any thoughts on this?

good play...but honestly, SB coming along is still unlikely. He called a raise, no youve reraised and if shortie kicks it in, SB will be calling 2 more with 1 behind who can legally raise again? Doubt it, but still, good thinking just in case.

looks good. you're going to lose him on your re-reraise, but you probably lose him on your reraise anyway if you make a normal raise.

Too often the shorty just calls in this spot...
