This is the academy award winner for best animated film. I took my daughter to it expecting another "kiddie" cartoon which (if I was lucky) would be entertaining (e.g., like Shrek), but more likely would be more like the last Harry Potter movie which was interminable.
Was I surprised. From the first scenes to the last this movie (cartoon does not do it justice) held me entranced. This is the first animated film that I could imagine enjoying multiple times when it comes out on DvD.
The movie is rather long for an animated movie...yet my daughter (who is 7) virtually never figited (neither did her dad!)
Without having a daughter to take to this show, I almost certainly would never have seen it. Makes me wonder what else I am missing. Perhaps I should consider taking her to Piglet's big....nah.
Take my advice...even if you have to borrow your sister's child to make it legitimate...go see this movie.
