Villain is 34/24/2.1 through several hundred hands.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/club.gif.

Flop: K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 7/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> (8 SB)
Hero bets, BB calls

Turn: K/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> (5 BB)
Hero bets, BB calls.

River: 5/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> (7 BB)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls


Am I ahead of enough hands to make this calldown? Just another hand to try and make more proper calldowns.

I think I play it the same against this player. You will see AJ and AQ often enough to make this worth it IMO.

I don't cap preflop.
The way you played it you can make a crying call on the river and hope he has AQ/AJ.

Why not??? Deception? He raises 1 out of every 4 hands he plays.

ATo/s or A9o/s, or any other Axs that the x hasn't paired the board is a clear possibility too.

I play it the same. Why wouldn't you cap it?

This a blind battle, and usually the one who made the last raise preflop will feel obliged to bet all the way if an A hits the board. This way you can earn more money postflop I think.
On the other hand if you don't improve, you won't able to fold out a pair even if you cap preflop. I might cap AKs ofr value though.
