Seeing System tonight, and got to thinking that Chop Suey is a masterpiece and nothing's really close, but sought different opinions.

Well I've always thought of System of a Down as just behind opera in terms of get-it-or-hate-it immediate absolutism. But it's possible that I'm wrong, that System of a Down is just flat out BAD in a way that totally transcends the idea of musical taste being, you know, subjective.

What did you vote for?

PS, other Patrick, do you think SOAD might be more palatable if they added MORE COWBELL?

I think they'd be great if they'd ditch the completely idiotic lyrics and terrible singing. I love the music - I hate Serge (Serj?).

Obviously some kind of Patton/Bungle/Fantomas ripoff going on with them..... and they can't pull it off.
