I am fascinated about stpries about people hitting the absolute bottom and coming back(or not killing theirselves)So I am going to share my absolute worse gambling rock bottom experience, and if you want to, share yours also.

In 2000, suring the start of the internet gambling phase(for me)I started playing online BlackJack, this was the time when Credit Cards would let you deposit/withdrawal money almost instantly

Anyway, I was playing around midnight, and I was only playing $10 a hand, but I hit a hot streak like crazy, I eventually got up to $25 a hand, then $50, then I started playing 2-3 hands at a time. After bout 3 hours, I was up $4400 o....I was ready to withdrawal it all but $200, I told myself one more hand to make it an even $4500, but I lsot that hand, so I had to get that money back.....it took me less than 10 minutes to lose every single dime of that $4400, I almost broke down and cried. Even when the money was going down to 3000, then 2000 then 1000, I never saw that as profit, I saw that as aloss because I was up earlier. It was like I was hyponotized, because I knew I was on tilt but I couldnt do anything about it

All I really lost that night was $100 (in real money)but I felt like I was kicked on the gut, and that was my lowest gambling moment ever

this is not poker-realted, but rock-bottom is often not. . . my friend told me a story about his friend, who he said was kind of dorky. He went up to hot girl who was over his head in terms of attractiveness and said "You are so pretty I just have to ask you out. . . " Well, she accepted. . . .

They went out a few times and finally they hooked up. The making out got hot and heavy so he got her shirt off. A few minutes later he got a serious bloody nose and even got blood on her tits. That was that. . .

Everytime I lose $1000+ in a day playing 5/10 HE shorthanded. I am beating the game pretty good, but this happens way too often and drives me crazy. Variance is a b*tch.

I lived in the Vancouver at the time and the card rooms across the border in Seatle had a special exchange rate for Canadian players. I devised a scheme by which I would drive down to Seatle, buy in at the favourable exchange rate - have dinner and then cash out (getting the benefit of the exchange without gambling).

So I took MY WHOLE BANKROLL down there. Needless to say I lost every penny of it (3 hour drive and no gambling? who was I kidding?). I walked out of the casino and literally puked on the sidewalk near my car.

The end of the story - we drive back home (a friend came on the trip with me), I take my paycheck out of the bank and proceed to the nearest cardroom. Made enough money that night that I didn't have to worry about the rent that was due in a few days. Ofcourse, I could have just paid the rent out of my paycheck, but that would leave me with no money to gamble at all.

That was one tough lesson.
