You should probably value bet this, as you guessed. Most players will call you with an 8, and many will call with a 5 or 6.

One thing I'm doing is whenever I think should I value bet this river, I just do. It is usually right, and when it is not I review the hand to see what I missed on the flop and turn against this opponent (and ones with similar profiles)

If you bet the turn, you bet the river. If the first king beats you, so does the second one /images/graemlins/smile.gif

He proably had a 5 6 7 or 8 and missed. I would bet this river.
