I dont remember if anyone remembers(or cares), but last week I took my first real losses at 3/6. I had been playing a lot and finally, as recomended, decided to take a break. I havent played a tournament in a while so i decided to give some absolute freerolls a try just for fun. I got 10th place and took down $1. Ive worked it up to $13 at the .02/.04 6max tables. Its actually pretty funny. Anyone start at a site with this small of a roll and get it up to anything substantial.

I found $2.75 in my Paradise account. I slugged it out on the NL tables and eventually tired and cashed out $250. You have to have some sort of psychological disturbance to do something like this. I never thought I would get excited about winning a $6 pot in a NL game but lo and behold it happened multiple times.

done this four times:

Intertops: got 6 bucks in a freeroll. Then entered their free $10 bet or spin tourneys for a dollar. Got my $60 back into my poker account...plus an extra 28 bucks in tourney winnings. Went on to ring games and qualified for raked hand freerolls. Made many cashouts from Intertops 700, 300, 250, 229. All for risking a penny of my own money.

Interpoker: got 3.90 in their Saturday freeroll. Went straight to casino. With the money I had in the account I had a whopping 4.25. I started at the blackjack table. Stopped at 200 bucks.

Bet365: when the 5K freeroll tourney was still not publized much you could play in the tourney and not show up...and still finish in the money. I did this for 10 straight weeks. Went to ring games with 45.00 dollars. When this tourney first got going it wasn't that popular and only 600-800 people would play. 50 minutes is all it took to finish in the money.

Paradise Poker: played a private forum tourney. Finished in the money, got 8 bucks. Went to blackjack tables and got it up to 33 dollars. Enough to enter the 100K tourney. I bombed out of the tourney but it was a free chance at some big money.

Just took down a few pots at the .1/.2 tables. Its fun to get berrated for my aggressive play. "you raised with that crap?". I had to explain that I had just moved up from the .02/.04 and was still learning.

I built my entire bankroll the same way. I won $1.85 in a freeroll a couple of years ago on UB when they were testing their tournament software. I ran this up to $5.50 and entered a SNG which I won. It all went up from there.

I took $25 at Pacific and turned it into > $600 at Limit 0/8. But I can't stand that site and don't play limit anymore.

Some guy called Chris "Jesus" Ferguson turned $1 into $10,000 playing online in a little excercise he did once. He started at the .01 - .02 tables and slowly moved his way up. They discuss this in the book "Aces and Kings."

I built my whole bankroll that way. If you can't deposit you do what you gotta do....

I made a bet with a friend one time. We both start with $5 and see who can get it the highest after a week.

I couldn't stand that [censored]. I lost in 10 hands.

I have never made a deposit in my life... I took the free 2 dollars paradise gave me forever ago and ran it up to about 2000... from there I funded the rest of my sites and the rest is history.

Actually, I think he got it up to $20,000 and it took him 6 months. Supposedly, after getting through the microlimits, he never risked more than 1/10th of his roll in a session.

Not sure if he grinded it out at the live games or played tournaments to get the 20K.

When UB was having all their problems recently I cashed out everything but 5.50 for a MTT that was canceled or I didnt register in time. So I decided to play a 5.50 SNG in a little over a week I was up over 200 playing only and hour or so a day if that.

My most recent bankroll revival effort (bills are no fun) started with $5 I won through an ARP freeroll at Absolute. After running really well at some tournaments and doing one of the Boss Media bonuses, I've ran that up to about $260 (plus a spot in Sunday's $125k tournament at Ultimate Bet) in just under a month. I'd say the 1000 ARP challenge is going well.

about 2 weeks ago I took my money out of UB to pay some bills (I'm not much on bankroll management) and left my self a little under $15 to play around with, I worked it up to $75 and moved up to $.25/.50 and hit the absolutel coldest streak I ever had.

after that downswing, I was left with $3.50, and one less mouse (who knew I could get mad enough to break a mouse over .25/50).

Anyways, I got my $3.50 back up to about $5 in about 15 minutes last night, and I'm going to try and start again tonight to see if I can recoop and make a bankroll from virtually nothing. It's kinda fun really.

They're the player points at Absolute, I'm just too lazy to write out "player points." I actually have no idea what ARP stands for.

I have the exact same story. Except I only won 39 cents, and have had to do some very serious grinding.

I have decided to never ever pay my own money, which makes me pretty conservative with my bankroll.

I have kind of the same story. Got free $10 from Royal Vegas and blew it after I hit about $100, then got free $10 from Pacific and it's in five figures thanks to big cashes in the 200k this week and a 2nd in the 30k tourney a few months ago. Built up the original $10 cashing in two straight MTTs.

Gotta give a lot of credit to those who can grind out playing micro limits though, I tried to do it on Stars for about four months and just got way too frustrated (I was probably worse than I thought too). Actually lost most of my deposit.
