It would be a terrible fold.

Yeah unless you can eliminate your opponent its not a good idea to push crap into a person getting 2-1.

You need to be making this push to be successful.

That is rather ultimate. Please explain.

don't agree, odds are too good for his opponent. Its an easy call with 10-8+. If I had J or Q high I would push, but not 8 high.

It's a close/marginal decision and is very dependent on your read of the BB. If he's loose then fold, if he's tight then push. If you don't have a read (or want to know what I consider the "standard play") it would be a fold because you can forfeit your SB here (in my opinion) and still be ok, because you'll still have about 1400 and you can get a better hand and push then.

Looks to me like he'll actually have 1225 if he folds, which is only 3 BBs. I think this is certainly a push with any 2 hand, you already have nearly no FE. If you fold this hand and push the next, the BB is getting 2.5 to 1 odds on calling. If you push this hand now, the BB is only getting 2 to 1. At these blinds and antes a stack your size has to stay very aggressive or you will just be blinded out.

Haha yeah it was wasn't it? Sounded like something God would say. Whoops. My point is that the BB is putting in 2.5 bb's or half his stack to make the call. You have a lot of FE. And if you're called you have alot of equity there anyways. You need to do something and this is a good place to start.

My impresion is that neither of the options is a terrible play.

All-in. With slighlty more than 3X BB, this is your only shot to be of much contention. A fold will increase your stack by >40% -- and in most spots if your called youll be anywhere from a 45-55 or a 40-60 dog. I think folding or limping here is rather weak-tight, even with this bad of a hand.

The only exception is have your opponent is a quality player who knows that your making a play on this pot, in which you have little FE, and your better of limping and pushing all-in on the flop.

Since it makes you like me, I'll just follow you around and agree with you.

Seriously, cover your eyes if you have to, but push.

I think limping here is the worst. say I complete then he pushes me then Im forced to call myself all in with 5,8 off. I prefer push or fold.

Limping isnt bad, if your going to push ANY flop. But if your going to limp and then check/fold if you dont have a monster, well then thats a terrible play.

You're kidding me right? This is a pretty standard push.
