Does Kumar mean "Potter"?

What does Raj mean?

(And Suraj if you know that?)

(I know roughly who the Raj were, but I'm looking for the literal definition of the word.)

[ QUOTE ]
In many Indian languages, Raj literally means Prince or Royalty though is often used to mean something more like the English term of empire and as such is often used in referance to the Mughal Raj and the British Raj: the period of direct colonial rule of India by the British Empire.

Given that Kumar is the 'k' in "skp", one would think that I would know what it means but I am not really sure as between "prince" and "bachelor". You could prolly google Indian names or something and get teh meaning.

As someone else has already said, Raj means King and Suraj means sun.
