View Full Version : Having problems with ESPN...

This really isn't a sports question but I guess I could post it there. However, they're all arguing about whether strikeouts are better than groundballs at the moment so I figured I'd post here.

If I go to ESPN's website, www.espn.com (http://www.espn.com), it goes to the webpage, and then 2 seconds later, it goes to a "Page not Found" website. The website is http://sea.search.msn.com/dnserror.aspx?FORM=DNSAS&q=espn.com

Now, from that page, if I enter www.espn.com (http://www.espn.com) into my address line, it will go there and everything is good. None of the links on the right hand side work though. Another "Page Not Found" error.

Is this happening to anyone else? Anyone have any thoughts of what it might be?

I've done that. For the record, this is my parents computer and I have not been to porn sites on it. Just to clarify.

why the hell would groundouts be better than strikeouts? groundouts pats no one's stats plus there is a greater chance of error with a groundout.

The only argument could be that there is a chance of a double play when a guy is on first. I'm agreeing with you though, K's are much better.

Strike outs are fascist. Ground balls are more democratic.

I have yet to see a strikeout make it onto Web Gems.

You watch baseball tonight?

Hmmm...you just erased my mental image of you, Patrick.

I'm interested to hear what exactly this mental image is and how it was so easily shattered by the notion that I watch Baseball Tonight.

I'm pretty sure it was LoDuca and Delgado in Florida earlier this year that made a play where the 3rd strike got away and LoDuca slid and in one motion threw to Delgado who had to dive to catch the ball while keeping his foot on the bag. It was a webgem.

Well, it was sort of a cross between:

and this. (http://www.horseshow.org/images/Chipotle+Burrito.jpg)

Now it's more like this:

this (http://www.horseshow.org/images/Chipotle+Burrito.jpg), and this. (http://www.msbaseball.com/photogallery/MIN/doug_mientkiewicz/Doug%20Mientkiewicz%20makes%20another%20'Web%20Gem '.jpg)

I tried to do this with the image tag, but for some reason it didn't work. /images/graemlins/mad.gif /images/graemlins/mad.gif

I assume he didn't see it, just letting it be known that the slight possiblity is there.

Yeah, but it wasn't the strikeout that made Web Gems. It was the play after the error.
