Ugh. 92.3 is listenable, as is 100.5. 94.1 is OK sometimes. But the rest are total puke. Not a single *good* station. What's up?

As long as someoine brought this up...

Any opinions on these LV stations?

96.3
102.7
104.3

I mean if you listen to them. Not "that kind of music sucks."

Meh. Both of these are on my rent a car's quick picks but as "last choice"... remember our poll about the worst musical decade?

Memphis radio is worse. FM and AM.

They drove me to satellite.

they're better than the radio in Los Angeles. Now THAT'S a wasteland.

we used to have a decent radio station 8 to 10 years ago called the edge...but it went belly up because it didn't make any money. Recycling the same crap over and over is the easiest way for radio stations to be profitable.

go to satelite son.

Actually, getting good ratings is the easiest way to make money. Crap music is, unfortunately, usually the easiest way to do this. Satellite radio isn't all that good either, but I won't digress into all its problems.

I did say "usually." There are programmers out there who know what they're doing. I was only saying that "crap" isn't always profitable, and good stuff can be.

In my rent-a-car?

In other news, I just walked directly under (i.e. within 2 feet of the dish) the DirecWay satellite antennas about 2 minutes ago.
