Where can I find the best guide (book or site) for starting hands for a loose low limit 0/8 game? I know there is nothing like SSHE, because I've searched for it, but I have Capelleti's book which I have found his recommendations to be loose and scattered in that collection of articles he calls a book. /images/graemlins/smile.gifI also want to know what hands I should call from the SB and what hands I should throw away to a single raise.

I liked Tenner's book. ALso you can't go wrong with Ray Zee's book.

Tenner's book is best for someone new to the game. Once you feel comfortable playing and are doing well, read Zee. Read Cappelletti after that.

Also Google Steve Badger, and read the O8 material on his site.

for beginners, check www.o8poker.com--put (http://www.o8poker.com--put) together by an informed 2+2er

I went there, but that site does not cover too much. He is very general about preflop play. I like his book reviews though. I am seriously considering getting Tener's book, because Capelleti has written a mess. I wish I spent my 30% coupon I had for Borders on something else. However, it was the only book on o8 there.

overstock.com beats borders even with the 30% coupon and they have the tenner book and zee book in stock.

[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, but that is a stupid system. I really don't like the idea of point count systems.

go over the hand histories and responses posted here....for limit omaha8, pay attention to Buzz's posts.

Otherwise, it's the hard way of experience, experience, experience.

BTW www.fetchbook.info (http://www.fetchbook.info) is the best place to find the lowest prices on books. I've used it many times for poker books.
