I actually think the general "Texas Hold'em" forum is the worst. Too many newbs all the time.

n00bs aren't necessarily stupid though. They're just n00bs. Thr WPTers are stupid. If WPT wasn't popular, they'd all be reading People magazine.

A few months ago, there were a lot of very interesting and enlightening threads in OOT. After the big forum split though, any discussion of quantum mechanics, the existence of God or the meaning of life (which had some extremely intelligent responses, along with some dumb ones) suddenly became "wrong forum." Now all that seems to be discussed here is tipping practises, fast food and trying to give people the confidence so they can go talk to that girl and finally lose their virginity. There are a few great threads from time to time, but they are getting very sparse.

as said before, just because we talk about hypotheticals that r ridiculous at best does not mean that its not an intelectual conversation. "How Many 5 Year Olds?" is a perfect example of this. there was just as much critical and analytical thinking about this question than about any of the complex hands in the regular poker forums.

Some people post honest, intelligent responses that you may or may not agree with, but manage to explain what the poster thinks and why in an open and informative manner.

Then the trolls, on both sides of every issue, post opinions as fact and turn any legitimate debate into puerile name calling.

Reading that forum is like watching a retard spelling bee.

Dynasty is doing a great job moving stupid mindless threads out of the WPT forum and over to the NVG forum, which is nice.
