150\300 4 players

UTG 1300
Hero 1600
SB 1600
BB 3500

Hero is first to act with A7o

I thought it is an autopush & actually I pushed.

But when I run this situation through the SNG powertools
assuming that SB will call with the average range 77+ A9+ and the bb (big stack) with the loose range 22+ A2+ KQ,KJs that imo is quite reasonable it says that pushing here has - 0,2 $EV. I was very suprised with that results & still think this is a push hand.

May be I'm missing something.

Please tell me could smb lay this hand down?

Any comments of this situation would be interesting for me.

First of all, Im assuming you are not first to act, and UTG has actually folded already.

You didn't mention the buy in, but I would put the big stack on a tighter range of hands. Even doing so, it looks pretty close. If instead you were the SB, a push would definitely be in order.

The presence of the shorter stack is what makes this a bad push. If instead you had 1300, and UTG had 1600, this would turn it into a positive push.

I don't think SB calls with that wide a range, personally. More like top 10%.

I ran this through eastbay's program as well and got it as a +0.6% edge. Are you sure you didn't mess something up?

I push this every time.

He might be using the new one with Equity Modelling, which will therefore give UTG's stack as slightly less than 1300, because he has to take a hit from the SB and BB in the next two hands?
