View Full Version : Big Blind Special, now what did I do here?

08-22-2005, 01:18 AM
I always end up losing my chips with BB specials in an unraised pot. I understand the old saying "don't lose your stack in an unraised pot but I flop ridiculous hands out of the BB on occassion.

What do I make of the raise on the turn?

Why are you betting the river when you are gonna force yourself to fold?

He probaly has KT but I would push allin on turn over his reraise

I would be worried about a KT after that raise on the turn.

Yeah, I was stupid to bet the river.

How do I get him to lay down the K on the flop? I can't have that flop checked around.

You shouldn't mind him calling, just sucks he hit his 5 outer.

My one plan was to check and hope somebody bet 1800 so I could re-raise to 5,000 to get out the potential two pair.

But then there is always the chance it checks around and somebody gets a free look a card to make them a higher two pair/set.

I also can't waste two pair, really, so I can't overbet the pot ridiculously much, can I?

Yeah, I guess that's all I can do. As I knew, I'm a moron for betting the river (but he would have bet about that amount or more on the river if I checked it to him, I'm sure) he did have K10.

I doubt I could have gotten him out of the hand before the turn.
