...which is ever so much nicer than Michigan. Do any of the local trout get together for the occasional live game?

Not really that I know about.

I've played a few hands of 3/6 with stupisucker but that's about it. Not even really sure who else is around these parts.

I've been over to the California Grand for the $200 NL game a few times recently. You're probably closer to Lucky Chances - are you downtown?

Actually, I'm going to a wedding in Berkeley this weekend and all the regular players will be there. I'm sure some poker will be played at some point. If it looks like it will last long enough and be separate enough from the wedding, I'll try and PM both of you guys.

I'm in the city.
I haven't played with any 2+2ers (that I know of) in any home games that I go to.

Might be fun to put one together sometime.
Who else is in the area?

I hit the Lucky Chances quite a bit as it's about 15 minutes from my house. They have a decent NL tournament on weekday mornings and the NL ring games are pretty soft.

I think it's the only card club in the Bay area I've never been to. I've driven by and remembered thinking it looked like the kind of place you might get rolled on the way to/from your car.

I went there a lot when I lived up there. I used to go there often and play for lunch, but I also played late at night too.

It is a little sketchy but better than it used to be. I never had any problems, but I certainly wouldn't flash a lot of money around, get real drunk and obliviously walk around the parking lot.

I grew up playing at the Oaks as an underage wannabe poker pro about 15 years ago. The place has changed only slightly since then. There is still some pretty good action there, as far as I can tell. Don't get over there as much, but drop by sometimes after visiting my wife at work across the street. And it's certainly better than the Pabby (San Pablo Casino)...

Do you guys really like Lucky Chances all that much? I used to go there exclusively, but I've started to go to Artichoke Joe's more often now. It seems a little nicer although the floor managers aren't the brightest people around.
