I have been getting tons of junk credit card offers lately, and one recently had an opt-out phone number. The number gave a choice between a website or a long automated phone menu. Here is the link to the website. https://www.optoutprescreen.com/?rf=t
This isn't a scam, is it? it looks legit, but I'm weary given the amount of info they require.

I did call the number, that is how I got the website url. it is an https site, and since the only way I to the site was through the 888 number on the credit card offer, it is hard to see this as a phishing scam. you think it is?

no way, would a scam go through all the trouble of getting an 800 number and setting up a secure server. Its definately legit.

as a rule, anything on the internet that offers to provide a service for free or to assist you in any way is not a scam and they are just trying to help.

I'm 3 tabling, watching tv and wasn't paying attention to people's usernames.
Why does everyone have to be a wiseass? Now I know why I don't post here much anymore.

It is legit, you get pre screenings for car loan special sales, computer sales, etc. This will block this service, and only allow people to view your credit that you request to do so.
