You are being results-oriented here. You may be getting 4 to 1 on your money but the odds of flopping a set are obviously less than that. Most of the time you don't hit and fold to any bet, so whether or not your opponent is holding K-high is irrelevant.

you wouldnt be posting this if a 2 didnt fall on the flop

Well I am being completely honest here, when I say forget the results of the hand do you call? The tourney is in the fairly early stage and if you hit great if you don't u dump. I don't really care that the guy that won the pot had ace high and the other king high....

Just interesting discussion for me. I mean you see that I folded.

Actually I think I would.

Ok hypothetically lets say you have AJ here and 4 to 1 do you call?

If you wanna play this hand completely by the odds, you will flop a set 1:7.5 hands. If you are getting 4:1 it is still incorrect to call strictly by the odds. I personally don't like calling 1/4 of my stack on a low set draw, with the potential of getting beat by a higher set.

I think with implied odds since so many people are in the hand you could "maybe" justify a call on the odds. However, I don't like having to check/fold off 20% of my stack this early the vast majority of the time, and therefore I think this is a standard fold.

Thanks for the posts guys. I agree with your assessment and thats why I folded. I was just curious what others thought. Thanks again

Are you [censored] kidding me? You'll flop a 2 12% of the time. The rest of the time you're check/folding. I'm not going to invest a 1/4 of my stack THIS early for 12% of the time.

Jesus christ, come on, this is an amazingly easy preflop fold.

What everyone else said. It's just too much of your stack.

Not callin a huge raise with 22 to try to hit a set.
Auto-fold.
