Hi

I am a total noob in the SNG world. I have tranfered from cash games and I am now trying to become a SNG shark. I am starting out at the 10+1 level with a 550$ bankroll. My goal is to have 50 buy-ins before consider moving up.

Here are my stats from the first 100 SNG's.

Profit 100
ROI 9.09
# Played: 100
Net win/tourney: 1.00

Here are my results:

1 10
2 14
3 14
4 11
5 16
6 17
7 9
8 4
9 4
10 1

Rakeback: 20$

Have bad or good is this, and does anything look odd to you?
All comments are appreciated!

Good start, stay encouraged. What the other members of the forum are trying to tell you a little less bluntly is that 100 SNGs is not really enough to tell you much about your play. Variance is high enough that you will need to play several hundred tournaments before you can even begin to estimate your true play statistics. Keep at it and continue to read this forum. Don't hesitate to post hands that confused or surprised you- do your best to learn from your mistakes and improve your game.

It made me try to eat my screen. There's now a big hole in it. Citanul, you owe me a new 2001fp, ok? /images/graemlins/mad.gif /images/graemlins/smile.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif

20% is an awfully skimpy rakeback deal, IMO. You might want to take a peek at the classified adds and switch skins for a better deal.

Hi There, Jakob! My first 100 SNG's were a little more erratic:

1 21
2 09
3 20
4 15
5 13
6 10
7 05
8 02
9 03
T 02

Statistics is one of my hobbies. That said, I agree with the posters who said that 100 samples are not very significant. However, you might find this link ( http://qudata.com/online/statcalc/ ) interesting...in trying to gain a little more insight from what stats you have, now and in the future.

From one new SNG player to another: May you play each hand to the best of your abilities! No tilting allowed *Smile*!

See you at the tables. Regards, -Geri.

I think your rakeback stats are awesome for someone's first 100 $11s.

Thank you for the cookie and everything, I know that 100 SNG's is nothing.

I have a question about a hand I just played.
10+1$
sixhanded
blinds 100-200

My stack 700

The first two players fold, and I have A10 and I push. The players at the blinds have aroud 650.

Is that a awfull play or standard? Maybe I am a little to agressive when it gets 5-6 handed, because if I look at my 100 first SNG's I have really a lot of 5th a 6th places.

That's extremely standard. Post new subjects in their own thread though. If you have a question about a hand, make a new post for it.

If I had 3.5 BB, I would be waiting for the chance to open-push from late position with a hand as good as AT.

Easy easy easy push. If I count right, you are on the button there. There are a lot of worse hands that you should push with there too. Any ace, any PP, two broadways, probably a few more.

As has been said, 100 is nowhere near enough to look at your distribution. Also, a lot of 5ths and 6ths is very common for a winning player.

Hi, again!

Here are my stats from my first 1000, 10+1 SNG's:

Profit: $2920
ITM: 41.10%

1 148
2 126
3 137
4 125
5 129
6 135
7 059
8 051
9 047
T 043

These were played on 5 different online sites, under 5 different user names. During the 1000 games I had 11 internet disconnects and was disconnected from the room, by the poker sites, 23 times. In all cases but 1, I was able to reconnect in time to miss a few hands at most. Once I was holding 2 aces with half my chips in...and was folded by the time I returned. All disconnected games are included in the stats...including the one I never reconnected to (high chip stack with 6 remaining at that time)...interestingly, I finished 3rd in that one without even being there.

All comments/suggestions are appreciated!

Thank you...may the big pots find you with the best cards...and a strong connection!

****Smile*** -Geri.
