Will this really help my low limit stud or hold'em games?

I agree.

They will help you to see poker in a new light (probably a more correct light) regardless of limit or game that you play.

I should read through my copies again in fact.

It will help you get your head in the right place, to see the game from the bigger perspective. They are not must-read for beginning players, but they are must reads for players who wish to advance their game, and understanding of the dynamics that develop around the game. There are many poker room business topics in book 1, some of my favorite essays!

the first book is the only one I don't have.

the pokerroom-business essays are somewhat interesting...but certainly don't help my game as much as the other essays.

since they are pre-WPT/Moneymaker boom essays they feel a bit dated too.

Agreed, but the insight is fascinating. Obviously I am a big management buff.

Its pretty good stuff, but I disagree w/ this:

PE 3, page 230:

3.Suppose you raise w/ a hand like a pair of Jacks, you get one of two callers, and then a late position player re-raises. Now the flop comes all small cards. Should u lead out of go for a CR?

Answer: you should do neither. Notice the player in LP w/ all ways have u beat or have two over card...u check, he will almost always bet. Thus the overcards you would like to keep out, in case your hand is good, will be there anyway. In a case like this it is merely always correct to check and call.

I have read I $ II and agree that these books are seriously underrated.

These books are so 1.4 (http://www.magicantonio.com)

sorry....but you'll have to change that.

I have since decided that Antonio's usage of the number 1.4 to describe anything that is 'cool' or rocks-and-rings is outdated.

The new definition of '1.4' (that I have decided on) is something that is really really gay in an "I'm Antonio and I'm so cool" kind of way.

And Mason's books are certainly not that.
