View Full Version : Sexiest accent for a girl?

jakethebake
08-19-2005, 07:43 AM
Inspired by an incredibly sexy voice/accent I heard on someone's voicemail this morning. What's the sexiest accent for a girl? These are the possibles I came up with.

French? Italian? Spanish? Swedish? Irish? Scottish? Brazilian? Some other Latin American country? Jamaican? French Canadian? Texan? Other U.S. Southern?

What does anyone else think?

I started to mak ethis a poll, but it would have ended up with everyone just putting other and coming up with 100 others I forgot about. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The worst by far is the Valley Girl accent, but it's a blessing because the vessels from which it emanates are often perfect on the outside, so without the sounds (which, let's face it, where women are concerned we could without) we would be duped.

So everyone thinks that one accent or another is sexy. Are there any accents that you don't find appealing?

With the exception of some northern US dialects, I can't think of any...

The refined Brit accent, Russian and Ukrainian. Had a Ukrainian gf- not only was it sexy but funny as hell, too, when she would butcher the language( kitchen- chicken, selfish- fishself). The lack of articles in their language can result in some humurous situations. The real kicker is that she looked like Liz Hurley. My nickname for her was "Shura Hurley".

Eastern Indian is probably the most displeasing to the American ear.

Scandanavian accents do it for me. Sometimes an Asian one will do it too just for the laughs. I like it when the dealer says "Thwee prayers." Pray-ers is quite accurate.

The Brit accent just puts .357 magnums through my skull. Just hearing "cawn't" makes me want to commit mahem. Also, there's a letter between Q and S that is very common. Use it for chrissake. Don't substitute an "H". That goes for you Bostonians too.

I think that Liz Hurley would make perfect sense if she were talking Icelandic. Who listens to her prattling anyhow?

I actually liked the Mute idea best.

I like certain kinds of English accents(some sound awful), and think Italian accents are often sexy.

The whole manner of Japanese girls can be pretty sexy, though I don't trace it down to accents particularly.

Sometimes I think Swedish accents are sexy, but it's really hard not to laugh when hearing them, so though that doesn't mean the sexiness is gone, snickering and trying not to laugh in someone's face sort of takes the edge off a sexy mood.
