A couple of simple questions.

Playing at the new-old standby 10/20 w/half-kill. Table is playing super loose passive. Pot is killed by an LP player and I am in the BB with Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif 2 /images/graemlins/club.gif.

EP (very LP older woman) calls, MP1 (another LP older woman) calls, LP (poster, decent player) checks, button (decent player, 2+2 lurker) calls, SB folds, BB (hero) completes.

I say (loud enough for the LP and button to hear): "I need a very specific flop, dealer."

Flop (5.33SB): Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 5 /images/graemlins/club.gif 4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

Here bets.

Should I fold here pre-flop for 1/3 of a SB? (15:1)

Do you bet out with top pair/no kicker against this kind of group?

Edit: LP used for poster is "late position" not "loose passive"

soweak.

You should probably fold pre-flop, because you're now have hit the flop OOP against 4 players, playing 20/40.

In related news, is this the Casino Arizona game?

It's half-kill so it goes to 15/30 not 20/40... and it is not the Casino Arizona -- it is on the east coast in the city that never sleeps.

Chuck,

I think the concensus is that if you are playing 15/30 and you are in the $10 small blind in an unraised pot, you should complete for $5 with absolutely any two cards because your odds/implied odds are so high. I always basically played by that rule whenever in the big blind in the half-kill game in a kill pot. So pre-flop I think you just close your eyes and throw in a redbird.

As for the flop, I'm probably playing "check-and-see." I'd like to see the action behind me. I could well be dominated, and I'd love to get a better chance for hand protection if possible by check-raising a loose late position bet.

Everybody knows that Timothy Dalton was the best bond ever, no matter how much Walken you have.

I am old, but not real old, so I grew up on Roger Moore as Bond and he will always be Bond to me. The Man with the Golden Gun was my first Bond film.

Grace Jones as a supposedly "hot" Bond girl makes me cry softly in my sleep sometimes.

I was wondering what the best line is here. In no limit, OOP with TPWK and a small to medium size pot, I often bet out. I hadn't really thought about how to handle it here and just instinctively threw in a bet.

Were you even born when Roger Moore was Bond?

Carey Lowell is the woman of my dreams, even if License to Kill sucked balls. She'd be like flying a plane at me and then Sam Waterston would be the copilot and he'd leave and go masturbate on that old district attorney Adam, and then I'd sex her up end of story.

Didn't View to a Kill come out in like '84? I would've been <1.

Here is where I look scary old (or maybe I was a prodigy?): I started college in 1984
