Not so difficult after turning the boat, but thought I'd share FWIW.

I gave rediculous odds on the flop for the flush, but deep-stacked, with a rare opportunity to get paid early, I took the gamble.

I do have a question though. What do you think is generally more profitable: Check/raising the turn, or check/call - leading out on the river? Perhaps not much difference if he's flat bluffing, but maybe the turn CR is better, as he might pay to see the river? Yeah, maybe that is better in most cases...I've always debated on this move.

What about checking the flop? Seems like a 'weak' CB following the PF raise might be more effective though. A CR on the flop (with the PF raise) might be the end of it.

I like to raise more preflop, bet a bit more on the flop, and I don't like the turn check/call. Like you said, raising is better than calling and betting the river. No reason to give villain a free river, make them pay if they're interested. Just plain betting the turn might still be the best option, though. That way you won't risk giving a free card, and checkraising really gives your hand away.
