Preflop: Hero is BB with K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif.
3 folds, MP1 calls t15, 4 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (t42.50) 3/images/graemlins/club.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
SB bets t35, Hero ???

First hand, no reads, Party 30+3. What do you do here? Bet (how much?), fold?, call. And if you don't fold how do you proceed with the rest of the hand.

Thanks for all responses!

Hero raises to 125
MP1 folds, SB calls
Turn is a brick.
SB checks (if SB bets ~150, Hero folds)
else: Hero bets 150
SB folds
Hero is happy to have either 80 more chips or 140 less.

BTW - Tucson rocks! Shalacka

I like calling to keep the pot small here Jeff and fold on the turn if his next bet is too big.

the only problem though, is he'll bet "small" again on the turn for t75ish....and again maybe on the river.

TPshittyK blows, but more times than not, i'd take slacker's line...willing to spend my "allotted investment" on the flop. the other benefit is picking the pot up here with the best hand - vs - having villian "catch up" on later streets.

Insta fold. No need to lose money in a pot you got to see for free, with a marginal hand! Remeber your not defeinding any money out there, so you really dont wanna get involved wihtout a big hand.

I can't find the hand, but that is exactly what happened. I called, waited to see what he'd do on the turn. He lead out with 75, I folded, because I wasn't sure and didn't want to spew chips. He ended up winning with K2 and I tried really, really hard not to break my mouse. (Note to self: buy spare mouse /images/graemlins/smile.gif )

I almost always reraise the flop. Calling here does you nothing- you have no more information of where you are than when you started. I make it 100-125. I think that buys you a check on the turn and maybe the river. If he bets smallish on the river maybe I call- dunno. Would depend on being there.
