villian has only been at table for two orbits, but i've picked up that he's loose and passive preflop and decently aggressive post-flop.

i open T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif T/images/graemlins/club.gif on the button, villian defends in BB

K/images/graemlins/heart.gif 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif
check, bet, call

K/images/graemlins/heart.gif 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif
check

check or bet here?

if you check, are you calling all rivers?
if you bet, are you calling down if he pulls a turn c/r?

edit: sry. 5/10

The stake level is very relevant here. At 10-20, checking has merits simply because a lot of players bluffs the river every single time, but will fold to a turn bet.

At 5-10, the calling stations might just call you down with A2 and never make a move.

ok. i bet, he raised, i called down. he shows 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 5/images/graemlins/club.gif and i muck. today's 1000 hand session had one pair hands winning 19% of the time and three of a kind winning 50% of the time, so i'm questioning everything.
