No reads at the time. Is this an easy flop call? I didnt raise because I wanted another person to call on this drawless board.

Looks very good. Sucks if he had queens tho, but no way you can EVER fold here.

He did have queens.... but just 2 of them hehe /images/graemlins/grin.gif. Turns out he was the table maniac, I just hadnt been watching closely enough. The hand was more interesting without the read though I thought, plus I didnt have one at the time.

I think I push this flop. You know you're gonna end up getting the money in anyway, and to me you're cold call screams trips, and it may be possible that villian gets away from this hand later. When you push, your opponent may put you on a bluff, which would be great (or he'll just call with AQ or something)....seems like you get his money 90% vs. 70% of the time with this approach...

Raise the flop up. Turn call is easy.

Interesting line to raise the flop. I'm sure he wasnt going anywhere either way. I suppose my cold call wasnt likely to encourage a call from the other players unless they held 44, and does make my hand transparent.

If he really is a maniac though he might not read my cold call as trips, he probably hasnt thought much about my cards. In that case he might be reluctant to check the turn and just give up the hand.
