I'm still kinda new to the SH deal, but I would much prefer to either 3 bet the flop or maybe checkraise the turn if I haven't done it for a long time.... rather than donkbet.

After I looked at the HH I started thinking the same thing. Probably the way I played this really confused him. Should have called this river probably. What about this though: I check raise the turn and he three bets. I....
