Common situation, tricky decision, 30+3

I think this is one of those situations where there are valid arguments for either side, fold or push that is. I really don't like calling. What about raising to 150 and calling any push? I'm leaning towards a push however, thoughts? Hero is UTG.

This isn't a push, at least not in my book.

- limp
- if you get a raise of 3x or less, PUSH
- > 3x....fold

you JUST might get to 'play for set' if it limps around (or push on an undercard flop). a minraise or 3x, just might buckle to the limp/push from UTG (still have some FE) -- if you go to the felt, you have a decent hand.

I actually like this line quite a bit because you eliminate the positional concerns, and can't be outplayed post flop.

The old me folds this pretty easily, but I'm beginning to think it's way too weak. I hate to throw away a hand that good, and then later when the blinds get big, push my button with a low stack and get snapped off. Curious what the experts think.

I think 77- would be the cutoff for me in this spot. (IE- Anything less than 88, and I am probably folding.)

It depends on when the blinds are jumping, and the table texture up until that point.

My main concern with the hand is that we are playing it out of position. So the question is: "How do I get sorely needed value out of this hand, while out of position and short on chips?"

i limp/push with this hand probably more than 50% of the time, and will do it 100% of the time if i have noticed the raiser to be fairly laggy.

i think its a great way to either play for set/undercard value for cheap, or to get to a showdown against a bad player without having to play postflop OOP.

folding is weak. you can raise and not be pot committed. i dont understand how this is push or fold.
