View Full Version : PP 10+1: AK suited in small blind, flop nut flush draw

First hand of a 10+1, hero is in small blind with AdKd. All stacks are at 800, except hero with 790 after paying the small blind. MP limps for 15, CO raises to 70. Hero calls and MP calls. Being the first hand and not having played with either player before, I have no reads.

Flop (225 in pot): 2d 4d 5c.

Hero bets 150. MP thinks and folds. CO raises to 350. Hero pushes.

Is this a good play? The way I see it, I have at least 12 outs (nine diamonds and four 3s), and possibly as many as 18 if he has QQ-77. I didn't consider 66-22 because I figured from that position he would probably limp and try to hit a set. It's also possible that the flop raise was a bluff and he's dead to 3 outs if he has AQ, AJ, or AT. I realize that after CO's flop raise, I have little/no folding equity, but with so many outs I had to shove it all in.

Thanks...

this is a great time to shove it in for all the reasons you mentioned.

Sounds reasonable to me... esp in a 10+1, he could be a donk and holding trash like JT s00ted...

How did it turn out for ya?

Thanks for the confirmations. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting too crazy early on.

For those interested in results, MP turned over JJ. I turned an ace and MHIG.
