PF Raiser is a bit of a LAG. No reads on other dude. Thoughts on all streets welcome.

I really think you have to bet that flop. 2/3 the pot or something in that area. You need to protect your 10's against overcards that are also possibly waiting for a flush draw. The turn and river action look fine. My friends tell me that I'm relatively weak when it comes to inducing bluffs on the river. I would have had the tendency to bet the river, probably about t300, because I figure if I'm going to call that much, I would like to maintain my image of strength throughout the hand and just bet it. My friend disagrees, saying that with his likely range of hands, he could easily be induced to bluff at that pot on the end, and put in more money then he would have called had you bet out. I'm still inconvinced whether the river should be a bet or a check/call, I'll wait and see what other people think.

Thank you for the comments.

Yeah, I think that betting this river for value would be terrible. Think about it. What hands can you put him on that call my river bet and lose? 99? Anything else?

I think that you played it fine

Personally I think that leading out on the flop might be better though, even though it's going to suck if you get raised. If I did lead out and get raised by the original pf raiser I would probably drop it.

what was your intention of checking the flop? checkraising all in or enough to pot commit yourself?

Honestly, I have no idea. I have this reflex that automatically checks 98% of the time to the preflop raiser. I need to work on this.

Had someone else bet, I don't know. I would not have a problem laying this hand down to heavy action. If the pfr bet around the pot size, I think I'd fold.**

EDIT: I just remembered that the pfr is a LAG. I WOULD play for all my chips with him on this flop.

i don't prefer betting out here -- i'd typically check/fold this flop

i'd bet a bit less on the turn, then check and debate the river (fold to a bet as big as the one made against you)

betting out will:
-cause him to fold just overcards
-cause him to raise a higher pocket, letting you get away when you're beat
-probably cause him to just call when he has overs with a higher draw. If the turn is a blank you can safely push push and shut him out. If its an A you can safely fold, if its a spade you have tricky situation thats probably a fold scare card you can.

Obviously these are oversimplified generalities but I don't expect too many deviances. One problem might be that he could get tricky and just call with something like A/images/graemlins/spade.gifA/images/graemlins/heart.gif
