Update on the quest over which is more profitable 30+3 or 50+5.

Which is more profitable?? I can't see how it's not the $55s. The skill level jump can't be large enough to make up for the much larger turnover. I think a better question would be how much more profitable they are. There is a reason why people move up (besides ego).

I think hes referring to the Irie/Zen prop.

And there's something to be said for learning to beat bigger games, even if the smaller game is slightly more profitable at the moment.

"I think hes referring to the Irie/Zen prop."

I'd guess Irie won (he ran hot at first, and he said zen ran cold at first).

"even if the smaller game is slightly more profitable at the moment."

I'll guess that the $55s will never be less profitable for a STRONG $33er. The $55s might be less profitable for a weaker/average $33er?

I'm wondering what kind of ROI Raptor or other pros has secured at the 55s compared to the 33s.

It's still going. We'll be done by the end of the month and post results. I'm winning right now, but Zen is way behind in volume at this point.

As far as profitability... it's very, very close. Otherwise, why would 2 players who've played thousands of SNGs at those levels wager on such a thing?

raptor, as well as many other "pros" have published their ROIs for various levels, including the 55s.

Shorterm variance aside, because he has too much pride and you smell easy money??? /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sounds like you think it's close enough that maybe the $55s aren't worthwhile (besides maybe being conditioning for the $109s??)? I assume this opinion is before you consider rakeback?

A $33er has to hit 20% to equal an 11% ROI at the 55s. Now if he can hit at least 13%, then the move up is definately worthwhile (10%+ increase in hourly rate). Although it's not as profitable as adding another table /images/graemlins/wink.gif
